As a little girl, I already loved dolling up—my mom would buy me pretty trinkets like earrings, bracelets, necklaces, brooches, rings… the works.

 

And growing up, I have amassed quite a collection of accessories (quite an understatement, according to my friends). One day, I realized that there’s often something that I wanted changed about the jewelry I buy and then it hit me—maybe I should try my hands in designing my own!

 

And so I did.

 

I marched to a beading shop, asked them what are the basics I needed, and voila! I made my first pair of earrings. I guess I own enough accessories to know what goes where and how things are connected, so designing & making my own stuff came quite naturally.

I started making little gifts for my friends and soon, I had lots of requests for me to ‘set up shop’. After some delay (a relocation to Hong Kong for a new job, a bout of lethargy, a very busy schedule, among other things), I finally got round to setting up my little online space for my own little collection.

​

And that was more than a decade ago.  Now, here I am again, on my career break from the beauty industry and finally having some time to return to this little passion project of mine.

Each piece in the ‘Gilty Pleasures’ collection is a reflection of my mood & inspiration at different moments. sometimes quirky, sometimes elegant, sometimes feminine and ofttimes dramatic, each piece mirrors a part of my personality. I believe that there are very many facets to a woman, and I also believe that accessories are a way to express outwardly what we are inwardly (of course, they are also a great way to spruce up ANY outfit!).
